Volt has a client that is immediately hiring for a MRI Technologist in Syracuse, NY

As a MRI Technologist, you will:
Responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment.
An MRI Technologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in performing diagnostic tests.
MRI technologist run the magnetic resonance imaging scanner to create a diagnostic image for the physician.
They maintain imaging equipment and ensure that their patients are protected and in an optimal position for imaging.
They must work closely with the physician by taking medical histories, keeping records, and adjusting the scanner as directed.
Perform MRI scans on patients following established protocols.
Prepare patients by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images.
Adjust MRI machine settings to enhance image clarity.
Maintain detailed patient records while upholding confidentiality standards.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Carrying out quality assurance procedures and implementing improvements as required.
Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
Start I.V.'s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
Coordinate scheduling and patient flow.
Provide for the psychological and physical needs of patients for MR procedures.


The Ideal Candidate will have:
Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required.
Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI.
Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred experience of 2 years.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $38 - $50 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
