About this role

Carrier is looking for a PLM Principal Engineer to serve on the Engineering Services team. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of BOM structure management, Change Management (for Engineering Changes and PLM changes), and PLM theory. This person will support all sites currently using Windchill. The candidate will also be leading projects to bring sites into Windchill that currently are not using it. This person will also be tasked with leading some efforts around training of Windchill, in coordination of the other members of Engineering Services. The successful candidate must be organized, systematic, and capable of sustained and independent work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and give guidance on best practices for BOM management. Lead project management of BOM management projects.
  
• Partner with necessary stakeholders including but not limited to Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing to provide counsel for Windchill improvements. Lead improvement projects where necessary.
  
• Develop training plans for Windchill. Conduct and coordinate training sessions as needed.
  
• Manage and track resources through all stages of process improvement projects.
  
• Be an internal business unit resource for BOM and PLM management.
  
• Travel up to 15% including but not limited to North America, Europe, and Asia.
  
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree
    
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in PLM and/or BOM management
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
      
    • Demonstrated experience supporting a project from concept to implementation
      
    • Demonstrated experience with data automation.
      
    • Proficiency with Creo preferred.
      
    • Proficiency with Windchill PLM required.
      
    • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
      
    • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, including Excel, PowerPoint, & OneNote.
      
    • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
      
    • Ability to prepare and deliver key internal/external presentations.

      Pay Range:
      $109,456 - $191,938 Annually
