Syracuse, NY (Onsite)
$23 - $29/hour

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a short-term opportunity to make an impact? Our client, a growing high-tech manufacturing organization in the Syracuse area, is seeking a Temporary HR Generalist to join their team for a 4-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite with a mission-driven, collaborative team in a hands-on HR support role.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and conduct phone screens, schedule interviews, and post/manage job openings using an applicant tracking system (ATS)
Track PTO, reconcile timecards, and assist with payroll/timekeeping approvals
Prepare leave paperwork and update cases in UKG and PTO calendars
Support new hire orientations and onboarding documentation
Reconcile insurance invoices and update employee records
Assist with internal communications and employee events
Maintain HR files and ensure proper documentation of employee records (FMLA, PFL, DBL, etc.)
Support performance review tracking and follow-up



What We're Looking For:

2+ years of HR experience (Generalist, HR Assistant, or high-level Coordinator)
Exposure to multiple areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, and employee relations
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Experience with UKG and ApplicantPro is a plus

Contract Details:

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm (fully onsite)
Duration: -4 months
Pay Range: $23 - $29/hour (depending on experience)
