• Certification Details
• BLS - Basic Life Support, AHA or ARC is acceptable.
• ACLS and PALS as per unit requirement.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure, as required by the unit.
• Required certifications as applicable by the state and unit policies.
  • Job Details
  • 16-bed LDRP model where we pride ourselves on family-centered care and continuity of care. Labor nurses provide couplet care as well.
  • Level 1 Nursery - Maternal patients 36 weeks and above
  • Must have couplet care experience with predominantly 3-4s on skills checklist
  • Must have predominantly 3-4s on skills checklist for newborn categories and procedures

    • NY LICENSE IN HAND
    • 2 years of prior L&D experience required
    • BLS, NRP required
    • First time travelers NOT accepted
    • Locals NOT accepted (must be 50+ miles from facility)

        • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure, use UD in NOVA to determine if required.
        • Tech Cert Verification - National, check Allied Licensure Report in NOVA to determine if required.
        • State License 1 Verification, required for NY placements.
        • NURSYS Verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
        • NIH Stroke Certification, check unit description to see if required.
        • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam, required as applicable by profession.
        • Competency Exam, required as applicable to profession/specialty.
        • Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for MS, MS/Tele, and Tele.
        • NY Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (Annual), required for NY placements.
