Provost, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs
Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York, is seeking its
next Provost, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, with
an anticipated start date no later than June 1, 2025. The ideal
candidate will be a collaborative and strategic thinker, as well as
a team builder, who is deeply committed to fostering equity and
ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have the resources and
support needed to succeed. This accomplished and diplomatic leader
will possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and advocacy
skills, along with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions
that advance a strong, equity-focused student success agenda.
The Provost, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs serves
as the Chief Academic Officer of the institution and is responsible
for administrative leadership for all academic activities of the
College including planning, development, implementation, and
assessment of credit, non-credit and workforce curricula and
instruction, academic policies, the College's library, full and
part-time academic faculty and staff, and institutional and
programmatic accreditation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in an academic discipline, Education, Academic
Administration, or equivalent, required. Doctorate degree
preferred.
Ten (10) years of demonstrated leadership in academic
administration including evaluation and development of faculty,
curriculum/program development and assessment, planning, fiscal
management, and resource allocation.
Full-time teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and
treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher
education.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Strategic Plan
Advertised Salary: $140,000-$155,000/yr. Salary is determined based
upon experience and education as well as internal equity. The
College offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes NYS
retirement, medical, vision, and dental insurance, long-term

flexible spending accounts, and tax-deferred Compensation, as well
