Location: Syracuse, New York
Job/ Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Full and Part
time positions available)
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be required to
have:Responsible for coordinating the surgeons' multiple schedules
including clinic appointments, surgery schedule, administrative and
academic schedules.
Coordinates with the surgical schedulers, as necessary.
Handles variety of administrative and clinic matters
involving contact with various staff, patients, medical staff,
government
agencies, insurance carriers and the public.
Answers clinic telephones and addresses calls as appropriate.
Facilitates communication between the patients and surgeon.
Maintains open line of communication with the surgeon.
Obtains insurance authorizations and pre-certifications in
accordance with insurance company policies as necessary.
Attain authorizations through the appropriate websites and by
calling the insurance companies directly.
Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary.
Answers telephones, screens call, takes messages, and provides
information. Requests, locates, sends, and receives patient medical
records.
Maintains files and assists in establishing office systems.
Completes insurance, disability and workers compensation forms.
Arranges appointments, meetings, and conferences.
Composes correspondence and disseminates to appropriate
individuals.
The ideal candidate must have:Must have an associate's degree or
pertinent college level courses and two years of
administrative/office management experience.
Will consider equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $47451.00 - $71176.00 per
annum. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based
on several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
